Heaven on a Plate

I’m beginning to think this might be a good title for a bakery company or a restaurant. And really, I’m not exaggerating, this dinner and the chocolate cheesecake were heavenly! It was another quiet night on Justin.tv and Justopia.com, but we had a great dinner anyway.

Mediterranean Potato, Tomato and Egg Salad

I first had this salad when I lived in the Philippines. We found an Italian restaurant the while scary to sit in with cockroaches roaming the food and tables, was acceptable for lunch. I always ordered the meatball sub and this salad. It was a great combo and I learned to either swat the roaches away or to ignore them, because in a tropical climate in the developing world, they are just part of the scenery.

Another DEElicious Dinner with Justopia! Piping hot chicken and pasta

I just sent out a Tweet that I’ve created the recipe for the Whole Foods Market, Food Blogger Budget Recipe Challenge! I will work on refining it this weekend so that I can submit it before the deadline. I re-read the contest rules again and it looks like they are contacting food bloggers to request them to submit recipes, but that the food blogging community is encouraged to talk it up and get others to submit as well.

This Story Needs an End

More Hot Pepper Jelly

I was busy canning another batch of red pepper jelly tonight for a loyal Justopia.com viewer that made the request last week. I didn’t want to put it off, so as soon as I returned from my afternoon out, I headed to the kitchen with my bag of Whole Foods goodies for tonight’s dinner and began prepping the jalapeƱos and bell peppers and got the jelly going. We’ll have photos tomorrow.

Waiting for the Other Shoe to Drop?

Grilled Mojo Chicken, Pasta with Salsa Cruda and Hot Pepper Jelly

We’ve talked about this before, but I just read an article that has me thinking about the issue of copyrighted material being broadcast on JTV day after day. When I asked what sport would take the place of soccer once Euro Cup 2008 finished last week, the answer came the very next morning in the form of Wimbledon matches being rebroadcast on multiple channels. Looking around tonight, it looks like the sports channels are sticking pretty much to the Sports category, while the movie and television rebroadcasts are in categories across the board.

Do You Feel Like You Spend Too Much Time on the Internet?

It Could Be an Addiction!

OH REALLY?! Can this be bad for my health??

Last night we made Beef Back Ribs and a Potato Gratin

Now, tell me something I don’t know. I heard this on the local NBC affiliate on the evening news tonight. You’d have to be living under a rock or in a part of the world where there is no electricity, no cell phone coverage, no access to news papers or magazines not to know how addictive the online world can be. And surely you haven’t been around JTV very long if you aren’t addicted. Things are changing now and I am not nearly as plugged in as I was even just 60 days ago, but I could still use help breaking free.

Using What’s in the Fridge and Pantry, The Naked Cowboy in the News and Which Broadcasters Have Fled to Live.Yahoo!?

Made Over Left Overs

I’ve been spending far too much money on food in the past 5 months — since I began broadcasting and from time to time I just open the fridge and the freezer and the pantry and see what I can put together from the ingredients I have at my fingertips. I didn’t know what I felt like having and as I thought about it during the day at work an idea began to formulate.
