Same Old Justine and Some Independence Day Fun

Everything Stays the Same

Looking West toward the Shanendoah Mountains

I tuned into Justine’s stream this morning since nothing else was available and caught her packing up her warehouse of electronics and getting in the car to go to the coffee house. There must have been a lot of new viewers this morning. I noticed two things:

  1. No youthful smut
  2. Surprise that it was taking Justine so long to get to a coffee shop

Why Justine drives 20 – 30 minutes for a coffee is a mystery to me, but since she has been good about hiding her whereabouts when leaving or coming back home for security reasons, I have no idea what’s available where she lives. I was surprised to see her back at the “scene of the crime.” You remember, that night when some stalker-viewers made calls to the coffee shop at which point she freaks out, runs with her hair on fire from the shop and asks a police officer for an escort to her car. That was not a dumb thing to do, although she was quite the drama queen, and much like last night’s questionable Sarah Meyers act, viewers were wondering if this coffee shop drama was just that — a one act play.

The fireworks display in the town of Herndon

The newest chatter in the rumor mill is that of Dez — has she moved out? Why is she moving out? Is she moving out because she’s had enough of her partner’s antics? Is she just moving out to get away from the attention that an attractive lifecaster’s 24/7 broadcasts brings to her private life? Dez showed up a bit later, well at least in chat. I wasn’t watching any of the streams at the time, but saw her chatting in the room. It wasn’t enticing enough to keep me hanging around though.

The Anthesis of Web2.0

I decided to take some time to finish a project I’ve been working on, something so totally the anthesis of anything Web2.0 — hell, it’s not even related to anything Web1.0 — I’ve been producing the purses and totes below and had one to finish up. I just needed to put the handles and buttons on and voila — another creation by Justopia. It’s hard to believe that you can hand knit something that at first looks like a huge floppy sweater then drop it into the washing machine and out comes a sturdy product that is water resistant and utilitarian — oh and did I say really pretty? Ok, for all the guys reading this — I’m really really sorry, but until Justin launched this was I really my obsession. I was producing more than one medium sized purse a week. Then I started making smaller ones and bowls and … it just wouldn’t stop.

I left to go back into real life and preparing dinner for friends. They had had invited me to join them to go to see some local fireworks and picnic with KFC. KFC is just not me, so I cured that by promising to make fried chicken, corn muffins and salad. They brought cole slaw and we topped off the dinner with another Summer Berry Pie. I am pretty much over the Summer Berry Pie thing now. I’ve made one a week for the past 3 weeks and I’ve had enough. Just the thought of it at this moment is too much for me to think about. It was delicious, although I am not sure my stars and fireworks embellishments on the top crust were anything to write home about.

We had a nice salad, Fried Chicken, Corn Muffins, Cole Slaw and that infamous Summer Berry Pie. I decided to save space on this page tonight so the shots are small, but if you click on them you can see them in their original size.

So many talents. So little time.

  2. Hehehe, Codi. I am hitting the sack EARLY tonight! I’ve posted and can now get the zzzzzzz’s I need to get ready for the party tomorrow night. Much to cook and clean and organize for the masses.
