I worked late tonight, came home, turned on the tube and headed right to the DVR to watch the Debate. I got it up and running and then launched Twitter. It was abuzz with debate chatter. I wish I were a sociologist or a political scholar or a statistician or a woman with ESP, because I’d like to analyze the Tweets. It seems to me that the overwhelming majority of tweets were in favor or Obama.

I’m Tired

I don’t know if it’s the trip to Vegas this weekend or if I am battling the Ebola virus that is going around, but I’m tired — pooped — exhausted — I need to get to bed and sleep it off. That said, I need to mention that Tenten is on his way to DC in 10 days and we plan to meet. He says he will not get on camera, which is a shame since viewers are curious. I’ll see what I can do. I am a pretty darn good saleswoman! 🙂

A Blogworld vendor asks the question for which I have no answer

I am going to finish my “discussion” of Vegas and Blog World tonight.  I ended up publishing last night and realizing I had forgotten a few photos which led to another post tonight.  I am done though.  I promise!  I’ll be back to catching up a bit with Justin.tv and cooking another great meal live!

Vegas is billed as The City of Light. Perhaps not so much in the daytime. I had been to Vegas two times in the past and had stayed in hotels on the strip both times. This time using points I stayed at the Westin Hotel which is just off the strip. Next to the exit is an empty lot. It looks like it’s been empty for a while.

The best meal I had in Vegas was at a surprising place -- the Flamingo Hotel Coffee Shop for brunch -- and I'm not talking about one of those über tourist buffets it was a menu-ordered brunch

I tend to do daydream — big — especially when I am seated in a plane and in airports for hours Unless I am hunkered down in a negative frame of mind, I daydream and imagine big things, things that make me smile. Things that inspire me and make me plug away.

I'm not sure how much of a Welcome to Vegas this guy is, but he was waiting for me in the airport when I arrived this evening 🙂

I arrived at the airport this morning to see a couple of Tweets letting me know that the finalists for the Whole Foods Budget Recipe Challenge had been selected. I was very excited and thought I’d check my mailbox first because the contest registration documentation stated that finalists would be notified mid-September. Logic told me that if an announcement was posted that the finalists were selected that probably meant mail was probably waiting in their boxes.

While reading the article about Warren Buffet’s 10 Tips to Wealth on the AOL Welcome Screen this morning, I stumbled onto an equally as interesting (to me), less common sense bit of information article about Celebrity Chefs and the 10 Secrets They Won’t Tell You. There are mentions of the big celebrity chefs; Emeril, Bobby, Giada, Sarah, Paula and Rachel and … well, you get the picture. There is a brief “discussion” of when recipes go wrong, how you’re not likely to ever see one of these chefs in one of their restaurants and how rising to celebrity chef stature is tough.

I’ve had to close the store the past couple of nights and have been busy prior to heading to work so I have not been able to publish a blog post. This is very unusual for me. This is only the 3rd or 4th time I haven’t published a post for 3 – 4 days ever in the 15 months since I launched the blog and I’m feeling rather guilty, but I don’t want to babble on about nothing.
